Google News Launches Facebook App
October 20th, 2007 | by jeff | | Post to NewsCloud »Google realized that it has ignored the social space for too long and that its services could be more useful if they had a social touch. After launching a site for sharing web pages with your friends and adding profiles to Google Maps, Google should integrate the sharing platform with other Google sites and unify the profiles across all Google services. To test the waters for a social news site, Google launched a Facebook app for Google News.
Meanwhile, Microsoft CEO Ballmer says Facebook risks becoming just another fad.

Good looking application, and nice to see Google sharing their content assets on other sites. How soon till they launch a bid for Zuckerberg’s site though?

Google has to obey local laws.
In the US, this means cowtowing to the Rethuglican administration or having their directors locked up. In China they have the choice of The Great Blocklist or The Great Firewall. The CCP has made it VERY clear that these are it’s only options.
