Senate approves Wild Sky wilderness
April 10th, 2008 | by jeff | | Post to NewsCloud »For the fourth and what supporters hope is the final time, the Senate has approved a bill to create a Wild Sky Wilderness northeast of Seattle. If approved by the House and signed by President Bush, the bill would be the first new wilderness area in Washington state in more than 20 years.

wild sky is a bunch of feel good hippy B.S! When you hear people talk about it they make it sound like it’s going to open up acess to hikers and hunters. When in reality it will close yet more land off to common man who does not have the time or the rescoures to make the long trek into this spectacular country. from hwy 2 you can drive to jack’s pass in twenty minutes, walking? who knows? Ilove the mountains as much as anybody but iwant to be able to get there!
